On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 09.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m., MUPY’s International Relations Unit arranged an orientation meeting under the Professional Internship Program in the Regulatory Affairs for French student, namely Mr. Hugo Phan, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Paris-Saclay University, France. Having been held at Room 404, the orientation was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, who provided a welcoming speech to the student. Also, Dr. Amporn Songkasiri joined the orientation to give more detail regarding the training schedule as well as essential information for his living in Thailand. The academic lectures focusing on Thailand’s healthcare system and pharmacy systems were delivered by MUPY’s instructors also conducted for the student as well.
This RA professional training program was arranged from April 18, 2023, to August 17, 2023, in collaboration with Sanofi-Aventis (Thailand) Co., Ltd which was the training site of the exchange student. This international internship was determined to provide the exchange student with Thailand's RA processes in private sector so that the exchange student could learn and compare the RA processes of Thailand and France. This RA training and practice was under an intensive supervision of Ms. Waraporn Thientanopajai, Regulatory Affairs Head, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations. It also provided the exchange student with insightful professional experiences in RA as well as allowed registered pharmacists in the Company and exchange student to share and exchange their professional knowledge and experiences, resulting in increasing international atmosphere and visibility of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy and affiliated training sites. It also determined to strengthen a sustainable relationship between three institutions. Also, this training could help increase mutual understanding of the differences in the profession and responsibilities of pharmacists between the two countries.
Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
