The 2022 KPU-MUPY Online Exchange Program

On March 9, 2022, from 01.00 p.m. to 03.00 p.m. (Bangkok time), MUPY undergraduate students and Mr. Amporn Songkasiri attended the 2022 KPU-MUPY Online Exchange Program which was organized by MUPY’s Division of International Relations in collaboration with Kyoto Pharmaceutical University (KPU). Having been arranged via the Zoom Meeting platform, the program was virtually carried out for two days including March 9th and March 16th, 2022. This virtual exchange program was attended by six MUPY undergraduate students and six KPU undergraduate students. The online activities were conducted for two hours per time starting from the said period. It consisted of online discussion and exchange sessions focusing on the pharmacy profession, learning methods, student life, social and cultural topics. The objectives of this online exchange were to 1) provide the participating students with international experiences in the field of pharmacy education, the healthcare system of Thailand and Japan, 2) increase mutual understanding of the differences in the profession and responsibilities of pharmacists between the two countries, and 3) develop participating students’ English language skill, cross-cultural communication, digital skill, and interpersonal communication skills. It also aimed to increase academic staff and students’ worldwide exposure, resulting in leveraging the global visibility of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Furthermore, this online activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
