Department of Pharmacy

The Department of Pharmacy is the largest department in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. The department comprises of three subspecialty areas including Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacy Administration and Clinical Pharmacy. With over 20 highly-qualified staff, the department offers a wide range of courses for both undergraduate and graduate levels. For undergraduate level, all courses provided by the department focus on the fundamental knowledge and skills required for the practice of pharmacy.

The department offers 6 graduate programs; 4 master and 2 doctoral programs while another doctoral program is under the approval process. The programs are recognized nationally and internationally for their excellence. Since 1976, more than 200 graduate students of our department have been successful in their professional careers. While many chose to work in the public and private sectors, a number of these graduates have become faculty members in other schools of pharmacy.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the department has an impressive record of research accomplishments, with over 1,000 publications both in the national and international levels. Most faculties in the department are known nationally for their expertise in their chosen field of research. The department has been very successful in attracting funding to maintain their research productivity from governmental, non-governmental and industry sectors.
