อยากทราบว่าถ้ากิน doxazosinในรูปแบบ sustained release สามารถลดผลข้างเคียง ความดันต่ำ(prostural hypotension) ได้ดีกว่ารูปแบบ extended release มั้ยคะ ?

Doxazoxin เป็นยารักษาโรคความดันโลหิตสูงและต่อมลูกหมากโต การเตรียมยาในรูปแบบรับประทานมีการทำเป็นระบบการปลดปล่อยยาอย่างช้าๆ (extended release system) โดยทำในรูป sustained release, controlled release เป็นต้น ทำให้ระดับยาในเลือดค่อนข้างคงที่และอยู่ในระดับที่ต้องการ ดังนั้นอาการไม่พึงประสงค์ เช่น ความดันโลหิตต่ำขณะเปลี่ยนท่า (postural hypotension) จึงเกิดน้อยกว่าการใช้ยาในรูปแบบธรรมดา
