On May 16, 2023, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., MUPY’s executives led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pramote Tragulpiankit, Chair of the Department of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, the Program Director of Social, Economic and Administrative Pharmacy Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arthorn Riewpaiboon, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap provided a warm welcome for the delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Indonesia. Also joined the meeting included Assist. Prof. Dr. Brompoj Prutthiwanasan, the Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies.
The delegation included 1) Prof. Dr. Satibi (Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada) 2) Dr. rer. nat. Apt. Nanang Fakhrudin (Vice Dean for Research, Community Services, Cooperation, and Alumni) 3) Dr. Dwi Endarti (Head of Master Program in Pharmacy Management), and 4) Dr. Susi Ari Kristina (Head of Division of Management and Community Pharmacy). Having been held at Room 606, Rajaratana Building, this collaborative meeting aimed to strengthen the academic network between MUPY and UGM as well as discuss the future collaboration and activities between the two institutions. Possible collaborations included student exchange and internship, research collaboration, and double degree program.
Furthermore, this activity responded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
