On February 22, 2023, from 01.30 p.m. to 03.30 p.m., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, provided a warm welcome for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seiichi Sakamoto and three undergraduate students from Kyushu University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Having been held at Room 409, the event was also attended by three faculty members including Asst. Prof. Dr. Krisada Sakchaisri, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somnuk Bunsupa, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Benyakan Pongkitwitoon. These faculty members were the students’ advisors and had accepted them to their research laboratories for a research training and practice.

These exchange students came to Thailand and visited MUPY to undertake their international internship under a supervision of those faculty members starting from February 22, 2023 to March 24, 2023. The students included Ms. Yume Sadato, 2) Ms. Tsumugi Mitsuo, and 3) Ms. Iku Hiroyasu. This exchange program for inbound students aimed to provide foreign students from partner universities with academic and research experiences in specific fields of pharmaceutical sciences, allowing the faculty members and students to share and exchange their experiences, and resulting in increasing international atmosphere and visibility of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy. It also determined to strengthen a sustainable relationship between two institutions.

Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
