On March 14, 2024, from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., MUPY's International Relations Unit arranged the exit presentation delivered by nine exchange students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University. Having been held at Room 621, the exit presentation was attended by Assist. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana and Dr. Thongtham Suksawat. Also joining the presentation was Asst. Prof. Dr. Eri Nakamura, a faculty member of Chiba University.

The exchange students included 1) Mr. Riku Yoshiwara, 2) Mr. Hiroaki Kobayashi, 3) Mr. Keito Nakasone, 4) Mr. Yuichi Masuda, 5) Ms. Haruka Wakabayashi, 6) Ms. Sara Okazaki, 7) Ms. Rio Iwai, 8) Ms. Honoka Oishi, and 9) Ms. Saki Imai. They had completed their short-term student exchange program arranged by MUPY’s International Relations Unit during March 11-14, 2024. The exchange program was determined to provide the students with international exposure and experiences in the field of pharmacy education, and the healthcare and pharmacy systems of Thailand, resulting in increasing mutual understanding of the differences in the profession and responsibilities of pharmacists between the two countries. It also aimed to enhance Japanese and Thai students’ English language skills, cross-cultural communication, and interpersonal communication skills.

Furthermore, this activity corresponded to the Faculty’s mission in terms of serving as the portal for professional services that encompasses drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics and dietary supplements to support the sustainable development of the nation. It also responded to SDG’s 4th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and 17th Goal: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership.
