MUPY joined the 4th MU-CMU Joint Symposium in Taiwan

On January 19, 2024, the faculty members of Mahidol University's Faculty of Pharmacy, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Nuchtavorn and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, participated as the invited speakers in the 4th MU-CMU Joint Symposium organized by Mahidol University and China Medical University (CMU) at CMU's Shuinan Campus located in the Republic of China (Taiwan). In this regard, the President of Mahidol University (MU), Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., led MU delegates to join this Symposium and signed MoU between Mahidol University and China Medical University.

In the Symposium, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Nuchtavorn gave a lecture entitled "Analytical Tools for Detecting Substandard and Counterfeit Pharmaceutical and Health Products", and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong delivered in the topic of "Heath Technology Assessment for the Development of Vaccine Policy and Universal Health Coverage Benefit Package in Thailand". The 4th MU-CMU Joint Symposium was held with the aim of promoting and sharing scientific research works in the areas of medicine, public health, and pharmacy among the participated scholars and researchers from the two institutes.

Furthermore, their participation in the Symposium supported the Faculty’s Missions in terms of serving as the portal for professional services that encompasses drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics, and dietary supplement to support the sustainable development of the nation, resulting in increasing international visibility of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy. It also responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Reduce inequality within and among countries. Goal 10: reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
