On October 20, 2023, at 01:30 p.m., MUPY's executives led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwarn, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for Public and International Relations, together with the faculty members in the Pharmaceutical Technology Division led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Leanpolchareanchai, Head of the Pharmaceutical Technology Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakatip Ruenraroengsak, Asst. Prof. Dr. Veerawat Teeranachaideekul, Asst. Prof. Dr. Boontida Morakul, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amaraporn Wongrakpanich provided a warm welcome for the delegation from SMBT College of Pharmacy, India. The meeting was held at Room 606, Rajaratana Building. The names of the delegates included 1) Asst. Prof. Kundan J. Tiwari, 2) Asst. Prof. Dr. Harsha V. Zope, 3) Asst. Prof. Bhavana D. Tambe, 4) Dr. Vijay R. Mahajan, 5) Ms. Snehal Pralhad Zankar, 6) Ms. Mansi Rajesh Khabiya, 7) Ms. Sanika S. Pawar, and 8) Ms. Surabhi Vasant Gandole.
They visited the Faculty of Pharmacy with the aim of signing an MOU between Mahidol University's Faculty of Pharmacy and SMBT College of Pharmacy. They also had an opportunity to discuss future potential collaboration between the two institutions. Besides, SMBT students had an opportunity to present their research studies in order to gain valuable suggestions from MUPY's faculty members. The research topics included the following.
1) Title: “Herbal Gugul Ointment Acts as a Penetration Enhancer” was presented by Mansi Rajesh Khabiya
2) Title: “Formulation and Evaluation of an Antioxidant Face Pack Utilizing Gallic Acid as the Active Phytoconstituent: A Comprehensive Research Study” was presented by Sanika S. Pawar
3) Title: “Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Sunscreen Cream” was presented by Snehal Pralhad Zankar
4) Title: “Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Anti-Acne Face Wash” was presented by Surabhi Vasant Gandole
After the meeting, the delegation had a chance to visit the MUPY's Dermocosmetic Testing Center (DTC), and the Centre of Molecular Targeting and Integrated Drug Development (CMT-IDD) as well. Furthermore, this activity also responded to SDG’s 4th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and 17th Goal: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership.
