Norethisterone (norethindrone) ในรูปแบบยาเดี่ยว มีข้อบ่งใช้ในภาวะเลือดออกผิดปกติจากโพรงมดลูก การคุมกำเนิด เยื่อบุโพรงมดลูกเจริญผิดที่ เป็นต้น [1] ส่วนยา propranolol มีข้อบ่งใช้ในภาวะความดันโลหิตสูง ภาวะเจ็บเค้นอกเรื้อรังแบบคงที่ การป้องกันไมเกรน ภาวะไทรอยด์เป็นพิษ เป็นต้น [2] จากการสืบค้นข้อมูลทางวิชาการจากฐานข้อมูลอ้างอิงระดับสากล [3,4] ไม่ปรากฏรายงานปฏิกิริยาระหว่างยา (drug-drug interaction) ระหว่าง norethisterone กับ propranolol ทั้งในด้านเภสัชจลนศาสตร์และเภสัชพลศาสตร์ [3,4] ดังนั้นสามารถรับประทานยา propranolol ร่วมกับ norethisterone ได้หากมีข้อบ่งใช้สำหรับยาทั้งสองชนิด แต่หากรับประทานยาร่วมกันแล้วมีอาการผิดปกติ ควรปรึกษาแพทย์เพื่อรับการประเมินหาสาเหตุและการรักษาที่เหมาะสม
