MAHIDOL PHARMACY STAFF GAVE HOME ISOLATION TIPS AS COMMUNITY SUPPORT: DRUG & HERB FOR COVID-19 SYMPTOMS MANAGEMENT

Thailand is currently struggling against the aggressively raging COVID-19 pandemic. Both public and private hospitals are being overwhelmed. Therefore, home isolation has become a necessity which leads to a need for patient education of how to manage their own symptoms with survival drug pack that is available through the government system or by self acquisition. In order to support the community, two academic staff from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University went on air to provide patient education on Friday night, July 30, 2021, from 07.00 p.m. - 08.00 p.m. Assoc. Prof. Thanarat Suansanae, a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy, and Dr. Thanika Pathomwichaiwat, a faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany were featured on the special session through the Mahidol Channel. The program’s theme was ’Common household and herbal medicines for the COVID-19 pandemic’, aiming to raise awareness and provide accurate knowledge to the public to ensure the safe uses of medicines and herbal products amidst the pandemic. Mahidol Channel’s Facebook Live and YouTube Channel were used to stream the show.
