Visiting Scholar from Showa University

On January 15, 2024, at 02:30 p.m., the administrative members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) led by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vilasinee Hirunpanich Sato, Chair of the Department of Pharmacology, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanika Pathomwichaiwat, Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany, provided a warm welcome to Dr. Yuka Tokunaga, a faculty member from the School of Pharmacy, Showa University, Japan.

Dr. Yuka Tokunaga officially visited MUPY as a visiting scholar under the staff exchange between the two universities. Her visiting period was from January 15, 2024, to January 10, 2025. Furthermore, she would join the research projects and trainings under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanika Pathomwichaiwat and Asst. Prof. Dr. Surasak Wichaiyo. She would also participate in in-class instructions for students and other educational activities such as an invited speaker in a seminar  and academic advices to faculty members and students.

This activity responded to SDG’s 4th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and 17th Goal: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
