On February 15, 2023, from 01.30 p.m. to 03.30 p.m., MUPY’s executives led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vilasinee Hirunpanich Sato, Chair of the Pharmacology Department, hosted a reception for five delegates from Japan’s Showa University. The delegates were as follows
1) Prof. Koji Nobe (Dean of the Graduate School, School of Pharmacy)
2) Prof. Hiroyuki Itabe (Chairperson of International Exchange Committee, School of Pharmacy)
3) Prof. Miki Izumi (Chairperson of International Exchange Committee, School of Medicine)
4) Prof. Michael Myers (Associate Professor, International Exchange Center)
5) Prof. Miyuki Hashimoto (Vice Director, International Exchange Center)
Having been held at Room 606, Rajaratana Building, this collaborative meeting aimed to discuss the future collaboration and activities with Showa University. In addition, the delegation had an opportunity to to visit other institutions under Mahidol University including the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. They also visited Salaya Campus to meet Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, the Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, to establish and discuss an academic collaboration at a university level.
Furthermore, this activity responded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
