MU-HTA Graduate Program joined the 10th HTAsiaLink Conference 2022

On November 30, 2022, the faculty members and graduate students in the graduate programs in Health Technology Assessment Graduate Program (MU-HTA) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkeaw, MUPY’s Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, and the Program Director of MU-HTA, together with those in the Social, Economic and Administrative Pharmacy Graduate Program led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arthorn Riewpaiboon attended the 10th HTAsiaLink Conference 2022 physically held under the theme ’The Role of HTA in the New Normal: Driving the Post COVID Health System through Evidence-informed Decisions’. Having been hosted by the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), this international conference was held for three consecutive days starting from November 30 to December 2, 2022, at Pattaya’s Royal Cliff Grand Hotel in Chonburi province. The conference’s opening session was presided over by Prof. Vicharn Panich, M.D., the Chairman of the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program Foundation (HITAP Foundation). In the conference, there were many academic lectures and talks delivered by international experts, researchers, and academics to its international participants. For instance, there were nine concurrent sessions arranged as a pre-conference session, three plenary sessions including 1) Plenary 1: Reimagining the Post COVID-19 Health System and HTA, 2) Accelerating the Impact of Real-World Evidence in Global HTA Community: The past, the present, and the future, and 3) Plenary Session 3: Searching for the Holy Grail Solution for Our Health Systems: Are Disruptive Technologies the Answer? Besides, oral presentations, poster session, and a networking event were organized for its international participants. Furthermore, the conference responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
