On Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 08.00 a.m. – 01.30 p.m., MUPY Student Association arranged the 18th Open Capsule Event at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. In this regard, MUPY’s executives including the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, and the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Quality Development, Assist. Prof. Dr. Luerat Anuratpanich, attended this event. The Dean also gave a warm opening speech to 135 participants who were high school students. The onsite event was thoroughly organized under the health and safety measures in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. In the 18th Open Capsule, all participants had an opportunity to join six mock-up pharmacy-related laboratories in order to try and learn more about the teaching and learning methods of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Having been consulted by Dr. Satsawat Visansirikul, this event introduced them to the Faculty curriculum and background for the decision-making in enrolling for studying at the university level. It also helped promote the pharmacists’ roles among the participants as well as strengthen the relationships between undergraduate students and develop students’ potential in teamwork and collaboration skills for their future careers. Furthermore, this activity responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and the 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
