On November 13, 2021, MUPY’s Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong participated in the Symposium on Healthcare Priority Setting Methodology organized via the Zoom Meeting platform. They joined as invited facilitators in this international symposium hosted by Roche Affiliate in Nigeria.
The objectives of this symposium were to 1) provide the Nigerian participants with up-to-date knowledge to help improve and build capabilities towards the achievement of universal health coverage in Nigeria, 2) improve capabilities and skills in the fundamentals of health technology assessment, healthcare prioritization and its setting using rigorous and widely accepted methodology.
Furthermore, this symposium responded to SDG’s Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
