On November 2, 2021, from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, attended the MOU signing ceremony between Mahidol University and the Kasikornthai Foundation. The ceremony was arranged at Mahidol University’s Office of President and live-streamed via the Cisco Webex Meeting for the representatives of the Kasikornthai Foundation. In this regard, Clinical Professor Emeritus Udom Kachintorn, MD., also participated in the ceremony and briefly talked about the background of the collaboration. In addition, Mahidol University’s executives attended this event.
The MOU was signed by the chiefs of two organizations. For Mahidol University, the University President, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., and the Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, represented the University. Also, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan signed the MOU as the witness.
This agreement aimed to promote academic and research collaborations between two institutions in order to develop technology, product, agricultural innovation, and innovative health product, resulting in enhancing the economics and wellbeing of the people in Nan province.
Besides, this activity also corresponded to the 3rd SDG Goal: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, and the 8th Goal: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
