A royally-sponsored funeral cremation for MUPY’s late Dean

On Monday, April 12, 2021, at 04:00 p.m., His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun officially bestowed a royally-sponsored funeral cremation for MUPY’s late Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvatna Chulavatnatol, who passed away on April 6, 2021, at Thepsirintharawas Rajaworavihara Temple. Regarding this, the President of Mahidol University, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., presided over the funeral rite. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Thida Ningsanon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Ms. Suchada Chulavatnatol, and Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan laid down funeral robes at the cremation pavilion of Thepsirintharawas Rajaworavihara Temple. Hundreds of mourners including her family, Mahidol University’s executives, MUPY executives, faculty members, supporting staff, colleagues, students, alumni, scholars in healthcare and pharmacy fields, and members of MUPY Foundation and Alumni Association attended the cremation ceremony and paid their last respect to the late Dean. Furthermore, the faculty members in the Clinical Pharmacy Division, the Department of Pharmacy, were united in mind to collaboratively produce the late Dean’s booklet to give to all of the mourners who attended the rite as a cremation keepsake in order to forever commemorate her dedication and contribution to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Thailand’s pharmacy profession.
