On February 18, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang, Deputy Dean for Research & International Relations, together with Dr. Krisada Sakchaisri participated in an opening ceremony of the 2019 training program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Lao People’s Democratic Republic initiated by HRH Princess Maha chakri Sirindhorn at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Having been organized at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Dentistry, the opening ceremony aimed to provide an orientation meeting and welcomed all 40 trainees who participated in the training program. For pharmacy program, there were three pharmacists who were then provided an orientation meeting by Mr. Amporn Songkasiri, Head of MUPY’s International Relations Unit, at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy.
The training program has been initiated by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and continuously provided by the Faculty on an annual basis. The objectives are to increase the knowledge and skills in health promotion and prevention, to strengthen and develop the public health, and to exchange the knowledge and experience in the development of medical technology and public health. In 2019, MUPY provides the 21st training program during February 17, 2019 through April 1, 2019.
