MUPY Representatives Invited as Speakers at International Conference on Vietnam’s Pharmaceutical Ecosystem to Advance Global Pharmaceutical Collaboration

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, a distinguished delegation of administrative and faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), participated as invited speakers at the International Conference on “Vietnam’s Pharmaceutical Ecosystem – Integration and Sustainable Development,” held on August 7–8, 2026, at the Tan Son Nhat Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The MUPY delegation comprised Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication; Prof. Dr. Arthorn Riewpaiboon; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew. Their participation as invited speakers reflected the Faculty’s international recognition and active commitment to academic engagement, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in the pharmaceutical and health sciences. Organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Health Sciences (UHS), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), the international conference brought together approximately 200 participants, including scientists, academics, researchers, and professionals from Vietnam and abroad.
The conference served as a platform for leading domestic and international scientists and professionals to exchange knowledge, share cutting-edge research, and explore emerging developments in the pharmaceutical and health sciences. Through interdisciplinary discussions and academic exchange, the event aimed to strengthen collaboration, promote scientific and technological advancement, and foster a shared vision for academic and research excellence. As invited speakers, the MUPY representatives contributed their academic expertise and perspectives to the conference, providing opportunities to exchange knowledge with international colleagues and strengthen academic networks and professional relationships with counterparts in Vietnam and the wider international community. The conference also marked a significant milestone in the 10th-anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Pharmacy, UHS–VNU-HCM, highlighting the importance of sustained international partnerships in advancing pharmaceutical education and research.
The conference contributed to strengthening international academic and research collaboration, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and the development of future collaborative initiatives among participating institutions and professionals. For MUPY, serving as invited speakers at this international forum reinforced the Faculty’s commitment to producing and disseminating research and innovation that meet national and international standards, while also enhancing its role in international academic and professional networks. The activity was particularly aligned with the Faculty’s Mission 2: to produce research and innovation that meets national and international standards, as well as Mission 3: to serve as a portal for professional services encompassing drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics, and dietary supplements to support the sustainable development of the nation, through the sharing and dissemination of pharmaceutical and health sciences knowledge. In addition, the conference supported Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting scientific knowledge, professional collaboration, and innovation in health-related fields, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening international partnerships and cross-border academic collaboration. Through their participation as invited speakers, MUPY representatives further demonstrated the Faculty’s commitment to advancing international academic collaboration and contributing to a global knowledge ecosystem that supports sustainable development in pharmaceutical and health sciences.
