On Monday, July 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the International Relations Unit, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, organized a welcoming and orientation session for six exchange students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. The students participated in the 2026 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program (Year 2), which was held from July 27 to August 7, 2026, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. The event took place at the Smart Classroom on the 4th Floor of the Debaratana Building and was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean, along with Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, who delivered the welcoming remarks.
During the session, the exchange students received an official welcome and attended an orientation introducing them to the Faculty, its academic environment, educational activities, and student life at Mahidol University. The orientation was designed to prepare participants for the academic and cultural activities scheduled throughout the program. The participating exchange students were Mr. Chew Ken Yet, Ms. Chong Jia En, Ms. Yeap Zhi Yee, Mr. Fu Xun Yuan, Mr. Muhammad Aidil bin Armen, and Mr. Surapan a/l Sukchath, all from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia.
The 2026 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program (Year 2) aims to promote academic exchange in pharmacy and public health while providing international students with opportunities to learn about Thailand's healthcare system and pharmacy practice. The program also encourages the exchange of knowledge and professional experiences in an international setting, strengthens intercultural communication skills, nurtures global citizenship, and fosters sustainable academic partnerships among students and higher education institutions from different countries.
The program represents another significant milestone in advancing the Faculty of Pharmacy's internationalization strategy. By welcoming international exchange students, the Faculty continues to cultivate a globally engaged learning environment that promotes intercultural understanding, academic excellence, and collaborative learning. The initiative also strengthens institutional partnerships and lays the foundation for future collaborations in education, research, and professional services between Mahidol University and its international partner institutions.
This activity aligned with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University’s mission to develop globally competent graduates with strong professional knowledge, ethical values, and the ability to serve society in an interconnected world. It also supported the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration and fostering future educational and research partnerships. In addition, the program contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting inclusive international learning opportunities and enhancing cross-border academic cooperation.
