MUPY Welcomed Senior Lecturer from Universidade da Paz, Timor-Leste, to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), welcomed Mr. Guilherme dos Santos Soares, Senior Lecturer from the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), Dili, Timor-Leste, for a site and campus visit. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional connections and explore future academic collaboration.

During the visit, both parties discussed opportunities for staff development and exchanged ideas on potential collaborative initiatives. Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan also invited the four pharmacy schools in Timor-Leste to join the ASEAN PharmNET network, with the aim of enhancing regional academic cooperation and professional networking.

The visit reinforced mutual commitment to advancing pharmacy education through international collaboration, faculty development, and regional partnership. The activity supports the Faculty's mission of promoting academic excellence and international engagement while contributing to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
