MUPY Welcomed Professor from Kaohsiung Medical University to Foster Future Academic and Research Collaboration

On Friday, July 17, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through its International Relations Office, welcomed Prof. Dr. Chung-Yu Chen from the School of Pharmacy, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, during an official visit held in Room 710, Rajaratana Building. The distinguished guest was warmly received by MUPY Administrative Members led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan (Dean), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen (Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong (Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication) together with Asst. Prof. Sayamon Sukkha, Assistant Dean for Professional Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Farsai Chanjaruporn.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to hold constructive discussions on future academic and research collaboration. Key topics included the development of joint research initiatives, the promotion of academic cooperation, and opportunities for student and staff exchange programs. The meeting reflected the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening international partnerships and advancing excellence in pharmaceutical education and research.
The discussions are expected to serve as a foundation for sustainable collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, and the School of Pharmacy, Kaohsiung Medical University. Furthermore, the initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the promotion of international educational collaboration and academic mobility, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening strategic partnerships that foster sustainable development in higher education and research.
