On Monday, July 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), through its International Relations Unit, organized an orientation for the 2026 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program (Year 2). The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, and Asst. Prof. Wipharak Rattanavipanon, who warmly welcomed 19 incoming exchange students at Room 702, Rajaratana Building.
Held from July 20 to August 7, 2026, the 2026 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program (Year 2) brings together exchange students from four partner institutions, including 1) the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Santo Tomas (UST), Philippines, 2) the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University (VNU-UMP), Vietnam, 3) the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia, and 4) Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Notokusumo Yogyakarta (STIKES), Indonesia. The orientation was also honored by the attendance of a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, UST, led by Prof. Dr. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, Dean, and accompanied by Asst. Prof. Renz Kenneth G. Cadiang, Assistant Dean. Joining the event was Dr. Nguyen Xuan Bach, a faculty member from the Faculty of Pharmacy, VNU-UMP.
The program is designed to promote academic exchange in pharmacy and public health while providing participants with opportunities to gain firsthand insights into Thailand's healthcare system and pharmacy profession. Through academic, professional, and cultural activities, students will broaden their perspectives, strengthen their intercultural communication skills, and establish meaningful connections with peers and faculty members from partner institutions, fostering future academic and professional collaboration.
The 2026 Bhe Saj Sawasdee Program (Year 2) reflects MUPY's commitment to internationalization by expanding global academic partnerships and providing students with enriching cross-cultural learning experiences. The program also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting international academic mobility, intercultural understanding, and sustainable collaboration among higher education institutions.
