MUHTA Participates in International Forum on Professional Competency Cultivation for Cross-Disciplinary HEOR and HTA Talents

On Friday, July 10, 2026, from 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m., the Mahidol University Health Technology Assessment (MUHTA) Graduate Program, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, participated as invited speakers in the “Online International Forum on Professional Competency Cultivation for Cross-Disciplinary HEOR and HTA Talents”, organized by the Health Outcomes and Technology Teaching and Education Alliance (HOTTEA), in collaboration with Data Science Center, College of Medicine, Fu Jen Catholic University, and College of Pharmacy, National Defense Medical University. The forum was conducted via Zoom Meeting.

During the forum, MUHTA representatives shared their perspectives and experiences on Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) talent development. The discussion highlighted approaches to preparing the next generation of HEOR and HTA professionals, essential competencies required in the era of digital health and artificial intelligence, and the importance of collaboration among academia, healthcare systems, and industry in supporting sustainable career pathways.

The forum provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange and sharing of experiences on cultivating future HEOR and HTA professionals. The activity aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting professional competency development through knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening academic collaboration and cooperation among participating institutions.
