MUPY Welcomed Delegates from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy to Strengthen International Academic Collaboration

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 02:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m., the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), hosted a visit by four delegates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HPMU), Vietnam, at Room V501 of the Research Building. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Faculty's administrative members led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of MUPY, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, and Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication. The visit served as an important platform for enhancing the longstanding relationship between the two institutions and reinforcing their shared commitment to international academic collaboration.

During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan delivered an overview of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, highlighting its educational excellence, research capabilities, international engagement, and strategic directions. Both institutions subsequently engaged in productive discussions on potential areas of academic and research collaboration, with particular emphasis on strengthening global partnerships, promoting faculty and student exchanges, and exploring future joint initiatives. The delegates also toured MUPY's research facilities to gain insights into the Faculty's state-of-the-art infrastructure and ongoing research activities, providing opportunities for further academic dialogue and knowledge exchange.

The visit is expected to strengthen institutional partnerships and establish a solid foundation for future collaborative activities, including joint research projects, academic exchanges, and other international initiatives that will benefit both institutions. Furthermore, the discussions are anticipated to foster greater knowledge sharing, expand research networks, and create valuable opportunities for faculty members and students to engage in collaborative learning and innovation. This activity aligns closely with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University's mission to advance research and innovation of national and international standards while promoting academic and professional collaboration on a global scale. It also supports the University's commitment to internationalization and contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting international academic cooperation and lifelong learning opportunities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening global partnerships that foster sustainable development through education, research, and institutional collaboration.
