MUPY Visits College of Pharmacy, National Defense Medical University, to Advance Global Pharmacy Collaboration

On Monday, May 4, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM (Taipei Time), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean, together with the executive team—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Brompoj Prutthiwanasan, Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies and Information Technology; Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program); and Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication—as well as Dr. Amporn Songkasiri, Head of the Division of International and Public Relations, visited the College of Pharmacy, National Defense Medical University (NDMU), Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan).
On this occasion, the MUPY delegation was welcomed by Prof. Hong-Jaan Wang, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, together with Asst. Prof. Ping-Hsuan (Shawn) Hsieh and Asst. Prof. Sung-Ling Tang. Both institutions engaged in discussions on potential collaboration, including research partnerships and student exchange programs. The delegation also toured key facilities at NDMU and Tri-Service General Hospital, including the traditional medicine unit, clinical trials center, and inpatient pharmacy. In addition, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Chih-Yuan Lin, President of NDMU, and had a fruitful discussion.
This visit highlights MUPY’s ongoing commitment to fostering international partnerships, promoting collaborative research, and expanding academic exchange, thereby strengthening its global role in pharmacy education and healthcare. It also supports the Faculty’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), through advancing international collaboration and research initiatives.
