MUPY Member Serves as an Invited Speaker at the ACCP Global Health PRN: Pharmacy Education and Workforce Webinar

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 6:00 a.m., Asst. Prof. Pitchaya Dilokpattanamongkol, Deputy Head of the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, was an invited speaker at the international forum “ACCP Global Health PRN: Pharmacy Education and Workforce Webinar”. Held via Zoom Meeting, the event brought together experts from around the world to exchange perspectives on the development of the pharmacy profession.

Representing Thailand, Asst. Prof. Pitchaya Dilokpattanamongkol shared her experiences and engaged in knowledge exchange with representatives from Japan, Canada, and the United States. The discussion focused on key issues in pharmacy education, alongside an analysis of the current workforce landscape. Thailand also presented a systematic framework for pharmacist development, ranging from foundational training to specialized expertise, to support effective human resource management in response to the evolving needs of modern healthcare systems.

Participation in this forum provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Thailand’s potential on the global stage, while fostering mutual learning among participating countries. The insights gained are expected to contribute to the development of strategies that strengthen the role of pharmacists as key members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, ultimately enhancing pharmaceutical care standards and improving patient safety worldwide.

This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, through strengthening the healthcare workforce; Goal 4: Quality Education, by advancing pharmacy education to meet evolving healthcare needs; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange to support the sustainable development of the pharmacy profession worldwide.
