MUPY Welcomes delegation from School of Pharmacy, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaturong Pratuangdejkul, welcomed a delegation from the School of Pharmacy, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, led by Prof. ZENG Jing (Vice Dean) and Ms. Haikun WANG (Director of International Office of School of Pharmacy). The meeting was held at Room 401, Research Building.
The purpose of this visit was to strengthen future collaboration, with a particular focus on the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the institutions, a Joint Lab Agreement to support collaborative research initiatives, and short-term student exchange program.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Faculty’s state-of-the-art research facilities, including the Centre of Molecular Simulations in Drug Discovery (MSDD), as well as laboratories in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and the Department of Microbiology. In addition, they visited various student booths featured in the “MUPY SDGs Showcase: Kangaroot x House 2 Home and Songkran PY,” an event organized by the Faculty in collaboration with the Student Association.
This visit reflects the Faculty’s strong commitment to enhancing the quality of education and research, while fostering sustainable international partnerships, ultimately contributing to academic excellence and the generation of impactful knowledge on a global scale. Moreover, it aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening international academic and research collaboration, which will contribute to the sustainable advancement of knowledge and human capacity development.
