MUPY welcomed Delegates from the College of Pharmacy, University of Utah, USA

On Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at 10.00 a.m., the executives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, warmly welcomed delegates from the College of Pharmacy, University of Utah, USA. The visit aimed to provide an opportunity for the delegates to learn about Thailand’s healthcare and pharmacy systems through academic exchange with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jittima Dhitavat, a member of the Faculty of Tropical Medicines, Mahidol University, delivered a special lecture entitled “Dermatological Diseases in the Tropics” to the visiting delegates, followed by a special lecture on “Thailand Healthcare and Pharmacy System“ by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan.

This activity supports the Faculty’s mission to serve as a hub for academic and professional services in pharmacy and health sciences. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international collaboration, addressing educational disparities, and promoting the global advancement of pharmacy education.
