MUPY Invited as Keynote Speaker at the 9th Vietnam National Medical Education Conference

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, was invited as a keynote speaker and distinguished guest at the international academic conference, the 9th Vietnam National Medical Education Conference. This national conference of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam focuses on health science education and was held at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Can Tho City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan delivered a lecture on the topic: "Evolution of Pharmacy Education in Thailand: Past, Present, and Future," showcasing the evolution of pharmaceutical education in Thailand and its development into a leader among ASEAN countries. The presentation aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange for Faculties of Pharmacy across Vietnam, providing them with concepts for their own development.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surakit Nathisuwan had the opportunity to converse and exchange knowledge with administrators from Faculties of Pharmacy nationwide in Vietnam during the conference. This collaboration also aligns with the Faculty's mission to be a central hub for academic services in pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine, cosmetics, and food for sustainable national development. It also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
