On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, from 3.15 PM to 3.45 PM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, was invited as a speaker at the 2025 HTAi Asia Policy Forum, held under the theme “Societal Perspective: Why It Should Matter,” at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Penang, Malaysia.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong delivered a presentation titled “Beyond Universal Health Coverage: Improving the Accessibility and Quality of Healthcare in Thailand” during the Plenary Session. She highlighted the current limitations of Thailand’s Universal Health Coverage system and proposed key strategies to enhance equity and improve access to quality healthcare services. She also emphasized the crucial role of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in supporting evidence-informed decision-making in public health policy. The session received many positive feedback from participants.
Furthermore, this participation reflects the MUPY’s strong commitment to enhancing the quality of education and advancing the development of healthcare professionals in a rapidly changing world. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, and SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
