MUPY Dean visits HUP to Prepare for Joint Scientific Conferences in November 2025

On Monday, October 27, 2025, from 02:00 p.m. to 04:30 p.m. (local time in Hanoi, Vietnam), Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), paid an official visit to Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP). He was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Nyugen Hai Nam, Rector of HUP, and Ms. Dinh Thi Hien Van, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology – Development Cooperation.

The meeting focused on discussions to prepare for a joint scientific conference between Mahidol University and HUP, which is scheduled to be held in November 2025. Both institutions expressed their commitment to advancing academic collaboration, sharing research expertise, and fostering mutual development in pharmaceutical education and scientific innovation. This visit also marked an important step in strengthening the academic partnership between the two leading pharmacy schools in the ASEAN region. It is expected to lead to sustainable academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of joint research and innovation initiatives that benefit both faculty members and students.

This activity aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University’s missions to produce research and innovation at national and international standards and to serve as a professional academic hub supporting sustainable development. Moreover, it contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 4: Quality Education and No. 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the promotion of international collaboration and academic excellence.
