On Monday, October 27, 2025, from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm (local time in Hanoi, Vietnam), Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), participated in the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the Vietnam National University ?- University of Medicine and Pharmacy (VNU–UMP), which also marked the 5th anniversary of its official establishment, held at Nguyen Van Dao Hall? in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event was hosted by VNU?-UMP to commemorate the institution’s 15-year journey of development and achievements in medicine and pharmacy education.
The celebration featured various ceremonial and cultural activities, including welcome performances, a documentary presentation showcasing VNU–UMP’s 15 years of progress, and the official conferment of the Third-Class Labor Medal, a prestigious national award presented under the approval of the President of Vietnam. Remarks were also delivered by representatives from central government agencies, Vietnam National University leadership, and VNU–UMP executives.
VNU–UMP invited MUPY to join this significant occasion as one of its long-standing academic partners. The participation of Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan reflected the continued collaboration and mutual commitment between both institutions in fostering excellence in health sciences education, research, and professional training.
This engagement aligns with the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University’s mission to advance international academic cooperation and enhance the exchange of expertise and innovation in pharmaceutical and health sciences education. It contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reinforcing MUPY’s role in promoting regional and global collaboration for sustainable health development.
