MUPY and CTUMP discussed to prepare for the 2025 ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit

On Monday, October 20, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM, On Monday, October 20, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM, administrative members of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahidol University gathered virtually through Zoom to prepare for the forthcoming 2025 ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit. The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, with participation from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somying Punthong. The host institution, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), was represented by Prof. Dr. Tho Do Chau M. Vinh, Vice-Dean, and Dr. Thuy Ty.

The primary purpose of the session was to review and confirm logistical and academic preparations for the 2025 ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit, set to be held November 6-8, 2025, at CTUMP's campus. The collaborative dialogue centered on essential agenda points and operational matters to guarantee the summit's success. The constructive discussion between both institutions established a solid foundation for a seamlessly organized and meaningful event, strengthening the partnership between the two universities.

This joint initiative between Mahidol University and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to coordinate the ASEAN PharmNET Dean Summit exemplifies international academic collaboration in action. The meeting directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals by enhancing cross-border cooperation and building a strong network among ASEAN pharmacy schools. Such partnerships are essential for promoting academic distinction and tackling regional healthcare issues, ultimately elevating the standard of education and research throughout the member institutions.
