MUPY hosted delegation from National Taiwan University to explore academic and research collaboration

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM, the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), hosted a delegation from the School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU). The visit took place at Room 409, Rajaratana Building, with a warm welcome extended by key administrative members of MUPY. Among the hosts were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation; Asst. Prof. Jennis Meanwatthana, Deputy Dean for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program (International Program); Asst. Prof. Dr. Somnuk Bunsupa, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation.

The NTU delegation included Prof. Dr. Yen-Ming Huang and Dr. Shin-Yi Lin, who were keen to learn more about MUPY’s international programs, research infrastructure, and academic potential. This engagement aimed to establish a foundation for future joint activities in the academic and research domains of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. The visit also featured institutional presentations by both parties, an open discussion focused on future collaboration opportunities, and a guided tour of MUPY’s learning and research facilities. 

This event marks an important step toward fostering long-term international collaboration and knowledge exchange. By promoting academic connectivity and exploring research opportunities, the meeting is expected to lead to mutually beneficial outcomes such as joint research initiatives, academic exchange programs, and enhanced global visibility for both institutions. The activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international cooperation and building strong educational networks.
