MUPY and KMU convened online meeting to discuss doctoral and postgraduate collaboration

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (Bangkok time), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), held an online meeting via Zoom with the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kunming Medical University (KMU), to explore future academic cooperation. The discussion centered on the joint cultivation of doctoral degrees and the development of collaborative postgraduate programs. Representing MUPY were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimpikar Kanchanadumkerng, Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies. KMU was represented by Prof. Dr. JingYu Lang, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Xiaoxue Tian.

During the meeting, both institutions expressed mutual interest in establishing a long-term partnership to support high-quality doctoral training and shared research endeavors. Topics included co-supervision of doctoral candidates, curriculum alignment, and the exchange of academic resources. These efforts aim to foster academic excellence, enhance student mobility, and promote innovation through collaborative research. This initiative reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to internationalization and academic development in alignment with its mission to produce graduates of high standards and support research that meets global benchmarks. It also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by expanding access to advanced academic opportunities, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the formation of cross-border educational networks.
