MUPY participated in 6th Joint Symposium by Eight Universities in Thailand and Japan

On September 6–7, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang, Deputy Dean for Innovation Management and Business Relations, together with faculty members, participated in the “6th Joint Symposium by Eight Universities in Thailand and Japan” under the theme “Interdisciplinary Innovations in Agriculture, Environment, and Health: Collaborative Research for a Sustainable Future”. The symposium was hosted by the Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University, in collaboration with seven partner universities from Thailand and Japan.

The international symposium marked its sixth edition since it was first hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, in 2015 . In this year’s event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullika Chomnawang was invited as a keynote speaker in the topic of “Beyond Antibiotics: Harnessing Plant Natural Products to Overcome Drug Resistant Pathogens”

The symposium not only provided a platform for academic exchange but also reflected a shared commitment to addressing global challenges through integrated research and innovation. Focusing on agriculture, environment, and health, the event contributed significantly to advancing sustainable solutions and strengthening international academic collaboration. Moreover, the event also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
