Congratulations to MUHTA Ph.D. Student on Receiving the Distinguished Thesis Award, Fiscal Year 2025 in Applied Health Sciences

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, extended its heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Panida Yoopetch, a postgraduate student in the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Health Technology Assessment (International Program), on being awarded the "Distinguished Thesis Award" for Fiscal Year 2025 in the category of Applied Health Sciences at the doctoral degree level.

Her dissertation, titled "Economic Evaluation of Diagnosis and Treatment for Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) among Contacts of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients in Thailand", was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew (major advisor) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon (co-advisor). The award ceremony was organized by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, and took place during the 2025 Orientation Program for new Thai postgraduate students on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The Distinguished Thesis Awards by Mahidol University’s Faculty of Graduate Studies aimed to promote high-quality academic research at the postgraduate level, encourage the application of research findings to public and private sector development, and enhance the academic standards of graduate education. Moreover, the awarded dissertation aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by promoting the use of evidence-based research to support policy decision-making in the field of public health in Thailand.
