MUPY and MPU discussed the development of HTA curriculum and research partnerships

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., executives from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montarat Thavorncharoensap, Program Chair of the Graduate Program in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Farsai Chanjaruporn warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Manabu Akazawa from Meiji Pharmaceutical University (MPU), Japan. The meeting took place at Meeting Room 401, Research Building, on the occasion of Prof. Akazawa's visit to discuss and explore academic collaboration between the two institutions, particularly regarding curriculum development and joint management of the HTA program. 

This visit was expected to pave the way for a successful establishment of MPU’s HTA Department and foster impactful collaborative research between the two institutes. Also, it served as a significant step toward strengthening international academic networks and fostering opportunities for global research collaboration. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting international educational cooperation and the sustainable development of research networks.
