On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM, the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a special lecture delivered by Dr. Jordi Cruz Sanchez, an invited speaker from the School of Engineering, Escola Universitaria Salesiana de Sarria, Spain. The event was presided over by Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutima Phechkrajang from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry extending a warm welcome to the speaker. The session was held in Lecture Room 317, Rajarat Building, and was also broadcast live via Cisco Webex to facilitate participation from various locations.

The event featured two in-depth lectures: (1) Illuminating Life: Spectroscopy Applications in Biologic Drugs, Microbiology, and Biochemistry and (2) Decoding Spectra: Chemometric Techniques for Extracting Relevant Information from NIR, Raman, and FTIR Data, both delivered by Dr. Jordi Cruz Sanchez. He shared comprehensive insights into the application of Spectroscopy techniques and Chemometric analysis. The audience comprised faculty members, staff, and graduate students, with over 20 participants attending. The objective of this event was to provide opportunities for faculty and students to learn international techniques and concepts in Spectroscopy, thereby deepening their knowledge in pharmaceutical chemistry, microbiology, and biochemistry. It also aimed to enhance participants’ skills in interpreting complex data, ultimately elevating the quality of research, teaching, and fostering international academic collaboration.

Furthermore, this activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting lifelong learning and access to global knowledge; Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, by creating equitable academic opportunities; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening academic collaborations with international institutions to continuously develop the professional capacity of faculty and students.
