On Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 08:00 to 09:00 A.M. (Bangkok time), the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, participated in an online meeting with representatives from the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Osaka, Japan. The meeting was attended by a distinguished delegation including Prof. Dr. Masayoshi Arai of the Laboratory of Natural Products for Drug Discovery, Prof. Dr. Yoshinori Sumimura, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sathida Kanjamapornkul from the Institute for International Initiatives. Also present was Asst. Prof. Dr. Satsawat Visansirikul, Assistant Dean for General Administration at MUPY, who is currently undertaking research at Osaka University as a visiting scholar.
This online meeting served as a productive platform for discussing prospective collaboration between MUPY and Osaka University. Key agenda items included academic cooperation, student mobility and exchange programs, and staff mobility initiatives. The discussions reaffirmed both institutions’ shared commitment to promoting international partnerships and advancing excellence in pharmaceutical education and research. Both sides expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties and fostering sustainable, long-term academic cooperation in the near future. Furthermore, this online meeting responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
