MUPY Dean Appointed as a Member of the International Commission for Global Accreditation of Pharmacy Education by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA

During May 13–15, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), was invited to serve as a commissioner and participate in the International Commission under the International Services Program (ISP) of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in Chicago, USA.

The ACPE is a non-profit international organization whose primary mandate is to accredit and assure the quality of pharmacy education programs both within the United States and worldwide. Established in 1932, the ACPE is officially recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. The organization is headquartered in Chicago and is governed by experts from the American Council on Education, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

The International Commission is composed of selected academic leaders in pharmacy education from around the world, who are appointed to serve as commissioners under the ISP. Their role is to evaluate and accredit pharmacy degree programs globally. Commissioners are appointed to serve a three-year term. The selection of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, as one of the commissioners is a great honor and a testament to Mahidol University's international visibility and leadership in the global academic arena.
