MUPY welcomed President Lim Hong Yee, Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore

On Friday, April 11, 2025, from 9.00 A.M. to 10.00 A.M., Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, along with President Preecha Bhandtivej, Pharmacy Council of Thailand, welcomed Ms. Lim Hong Yee from the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS), who holds the position of Director & Senior Principal Pharmacist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and Director of the Centre for Allied Health & Pharmacy Excellence (CAPE). The meeting was held at room 309, Rajaratana Building.

The objective of this visit is to exchange knowledge on strategies to promote the career path of pharmacists in a health system, along with a discussion on educational pathways post licensing, ranging from degree pathway such as residency/fellowship to non-degree pathways such as 4-month certificate programs, which covered future direction of pharmacy services in the world of precision medicine, pharmacist role in population health and consolidated efforts to improve regional pharmacy agenda.   

Moreover, this visit responded to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries; and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
