MUPY Welcomed Delegates from Wenzhou Medical University, China

On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 02.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M., the executive members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, and Dr. Pongpol Thanuphol, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amaraporn Wongrakpanich, warmly welcomed 14 delegates from the Wenzhou Medical University (WMU), China, led by Prof. Li Xiaokun, President of Wenzhou Medical University.

The visit aimed to foster global partnerships and explore potential collaborations in academic programs, research initiatives, and professional development. Discussions focused on joint research opportunities, student and faculty exchange programs, and the development of collaborative curricula that align with international standards in pharmaceutical sciences.

Following the discussions, the delegates also joined the poster presentation of 5th-year undergraduate students as well as visited MUPY's learning and research facilities. As part of MUPY’s ongoing commitment to advancing global academic collaboration, the faculty has continuously expanded its international network through strategic partnerships with leading institutions worldwide. These efforts have aimed to enhance interdisciplinary research, promote innovation in pharmaceutical education, and provide students with diverse global learning experiences. This engagement also reaffirmed MUPY’s dedication to strengthening international cooperation and driving impactful advancements in pharmaceutical education and research.

In addition, this event responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
