MUPY welcomed adjunct professor from Germany for academic lecture and research collaboration discussions

On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Regine Schneider-Stock, a distinguished professor from the Institute of Pathology, University Hospital Erlangen, Germany. The reception was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Arnatchai Maiuthed at Room 405, Rajaratana Building.

The highlight of her visit was a special lecture on the topic "Role of Trop2 in Tumor Initiation of Colorectal Cancer." The session attracted faculty members, researchers, and graduate students, offering valuable insights into the role of Trop2 in colorectal cancer development. Prof. Schneider-Stock’s expertise in genetics and cancer research provided an excellent platform for attendees to engage in discussions on cutting-edge advancements in oncology and potential research collaborations. Following her lecture, Dr. Kodcharat Cheevapruk delivered another engaging talk on "Systematic Analysis of Tumor-Stroma Interaction and Its Influence on Drug Sensitivity in Multiple Myeloma."

In addition to her lecture, MUPY proudly recognized Prof. Schneider-Stock's ongoing collaboration with the faculty. She has been serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy since July 1, 2022, and will continue in this role until June 30, 2027. Her contributions in cancer research and pathology further strengthen MUPY’s international academic partnerships, fostering research excellence and innovation. MUPY also looks forward to continued academic and research collaborations with Prof. Schneider-Stock and the University Hospital Erlangen, reinforcing the faculty’s commitment to global engagement and scientific advancement. 

Besides, this activity corresponded to the Faculty’s mission in terms of producing research and innovation that meets national and international standard.. It also responded to SDG’s 4th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, 10th Goal: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and 17th Goal: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership.
