MUPY and Shinshu University strengthen ties through MoU signing ceremony

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM, the executives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by  Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, MUPY Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University, Japan for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony. They were also warmly received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Korbtham Sathirakul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savita Chewchinda, Head of the Department of Food Chemistry, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Leanpolchareanchai.

The delegation from Shinshu University was led by Prof. Dr. Mizue Kayama, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and included:
1. Prof. Dr. Toshio Sakai, Director of the International Relations Office
2. Prof. Dr. Nobuhiko Henmi, Vice Director of the International Relations Office
3. Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Takano, Head of Promotion Headquarter for Data-Science Education Center for General Education
4. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Masaya Tanemura, Faculty member, Department of Mechanical Engineering
5. Asst. Prof. Dr. Yuki Chikahiro, Faculty member, Department of Civil Engineering

The MoU signing ceremony, held at Room 409, Rajaratana Building, formalized three key agreements including 1) Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation and Exchange, 2) Agreement for Cooperation and Exchange in Research, and 3) Agreement for Exchange of Students. The MoUs were signed by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan and Prof. Dr. Mizue Kayama, marking a significant milestone in fostering academic and research partnerships between the two institutions. Following the signing, both parties engaged in discussions to explore further collaboration opportunities, particularly in joint research projects and academic exchange programs. This event reflects the ongoing commitment of MUPY and Shinshu University to strengthening international academic ties and advancing innovation in pharmacy and engineering.
