On December 18, 2024, at 09:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M., the executive members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wichit Nosoongnoen, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Deputy Dean for Global Partnerships and Corporate Communication, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Somnuk Bunsupa, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Nuchtavorn, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation. extended an official welcome to Prof. Dr. Kyungho Choi, a visiting professor from the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health, Seoul National University, the Republic of Korea (South Korea). Also joined the meeting included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pramote Tragulpiankit as well as Prof. Dr. Vichit Supornsilchai from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.
Having been arranged at Room 710, the meeting and discussions focused on shared academic and research interests, particularly on the Global Health System, fostering opportunities for future partnerships. Following the discussions, Prof. Dr. Kyungho Choi had an opportunity to visit MUPY’s state-of-the-art learning and research facilities. Highlights included the Pharmacometrics Center, the Central Research Facility Unit, and various specialized learning laboratories, showcasing the faculty’s advanced capabilities in pharmaceutical education and research.
This visit not only underscored MUPY's strengths in academic and research excellence but also reinforced the relationship between the two institutions. Prof. Dr. Choi gained valuable insights into MUPY’s innovative teaching and research approaches, paving the way for potential collaborative endeavors in the future.
Furthermore, this meeting responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
