On Saturday, November 9, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, was invited to speak at the 28th ASEAN Federation of Cardiology Congress 2024 (AFCC 2024). This international conference, organized by the ASEAN Federation of Cardiology in collaboration with the Singapore Cardiac Society and a network of international partners, was held from November 9-10, 2024, at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan also presented in Symposium 16 on the topic “Real-World Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of DOACs and Warfarin in AF: ASEAN Data & Perspectives,” addressing the remaining challenges in oral anticoagulant therapy.
Moreover, his engagement also supported the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries; and Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
