On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Mahidol University's Faculty of Pharmacy through its International Relations Office organized an educational field trip to the Ayutthaya Historical Park in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province for Dr. Yuka Tokunaga, a visiting professor from Showa University's School of Pharmacy in Japan, and four exchange students from the University of Santo Tomas's Faculty of Pharmacy in the Philippines. The purpose of the trip was to study and learn about Thai history and culture through visits to various significant historical sites within Ayutthaya Island. These sites included Wat Mahathat, Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, Wat Phanan Choeng, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit, and the Japanese Village. This experience aimed to provide participants with knowledge and understanding of Thailand's history, art, traditions, and culture during the Ayutthaya period, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
